At Dean Park Primary children have leadership opportunities from Nursery to P7. Children have real life, meaningful experiences that help them to see that they can be changemakers in Balerno and beyond into the wider world.
Around the school children have a number of responsibilities and have opportunities to be leaders in their own classes.
In P7 pupils can participate in a Leadership Academy supported by our Parent Council and apply for a role in the Dean Park Pupil Leadership Team.
All pupils in P5-7 have a role in a Pupil Leadership Group. These groups work towards whole school improvements and support the work outlined in our School Improvement Plan. This sessions, groups are focussed on our improvement work related to:
