Welcome to Dean Park Primary School Clubs! We have recently appointed a new Clubs Manager and PTA Trustee for the 2026/27 year!
The clubs are organised by the school, Edinburgh Active Schools and the PTA. They are run for the enjoyment and enrichment of the children and contribute to our wider community wellbeing.
Clubs organised by the PTA are managed by a club coordinator, who handles the day-to-day running. Instruction is provided by professional coaches, tutors as well as parents, and all are PVG checked.
PTA clubs charge a modest fee and please remember any profit goes back into supporting the school. If you feel cost is a barrier, please contact the school in confidence for support – No Child Misses Out at Dean Park.

Application Process and Fees
To join a club, just follow the link above for more details. Spaces for some clubs can fill up very quickly, and there may be a waiting list for the more popular ones. Once the coordinator has your details, they will contact you with next steps. After the first two sessions, you will be emailed an invoice for the term, or pro rata if starting during the term. Club Coordinators
Dean Park Primary School Clubs rely on volunteer coordinators to manage the day-to-day running of clubs. This involves liaising with the Clubs Manager; communicating with parents and coaches, maintaining registrations and waiting lists, and escalating any issues to the club manager. It is a vital role and we are very grateful for all the efforts of our club coordinators.
We are currently looking to recruit Club Coordinators for the following roles:
- Junior Football (P1/P2)
- Football (P3/P4)
- Netball
Volunteer Coaches & Tutors / Parent/Guardian Helpers
Our Clubs are run by a mixture of professional coaches and tutors often rely on the support of parent/guardian coaches/helpers. We are currently looking to recruit volunteer coaches for the following:
- P5 Football Coach – to support current coach Stuart Smith
- P3-P4 Football Coaches – currently vacant
Parent/Guardian Volunteer Helper Rota
In order to support the smooth and safe running of the clubs, your commitment to attend one session per term as a ‘Parent/Guardian Helper’ would be greatly appreciated. Where applicable, Club Coordinators will manage a parent/guardian helper rota to ensure the clubs are appropriately supported.
